Bauma” is international trade fair event for industrial equipment including: construction vehicles, building material machines, mining machines and many others. It takes place every three years in Munich, Germany. Normally, more than 400,000 attendants from over 160 countries visit “Bauma”. In fact, those visitors are attracted by the wide range of products exposed by the continuously growing number of exhibitors, which reached approximately 2,900 last year (2008).

As outlined by the president of the “CEBBMA” (Construction Equipment and Building Material Machinery Association) Dr. Reinhold Festge, the “Bauma” trade show witnesses impressive atmosphere in every respect not only because of the considerable increase of foreign visitors, but also due to the magnitude of optimism enhanced by the potential of future business climate improvements.

Although “Bauma” takes place in Germany, it witnesses exceptional popularity among international visitors. In fact, the range of visitors’ countries of origin is becoming broader and broader. While in the past the majority of visitors was predominantly from, but not limited to people from Western Europe, it now boasts attendants from all over Europe with strong presence of Central and Eastern Europeans as well as visitors from Asia and the US.

Another interesting issue, that once again proves that “Bauma” plays an important role in the modern Industrial world, is the fact that over 80% of companies’ representatives present at the previous fair were decision makers. Essentially, this detail advises of the high quality of trade visitors and the increased propensity for creating business relations. Furthermore, as explained by the independent research agency “TNS Infratest”, the degree of customer satisfaction is beyond comparison (94%).

Eventually, in spite of other factors, the increase of the number of foreign visitors is also attributed by the encouraged interaction of international activities. For instance, the “Bauma” China in 2002 resulted in a whole new flow of Chinese companies inclined to participate in “Bauma” Munich. To this end, “Bauma” exemplifies a trade fair that can consolidate existing and give a start to new business relationship in the industry realm.
