The newest, most innovative products will be presented at the prestigious Seafood Prix d’Elite new products competition – the 2011 nominees have been already announced. Companies compete to win the esteemed first place awards they introduce their new products. The Seafood Prix d’Elite names the best new retail and foodservice seafood products of the year and offers special awards for health and nutrition, retail packaging, originality, convenience and seafood product line.

As the capital of Europe, Brussels attracts a large number of high-powered international visitors—especially during such huge events like European Seafood Exhibition (1600 exhibitors and 50 000 visitors). The price at the luxury hotels are higher than what most tourists would like to pay, however there are hotels catering to cost-conscious travelers, offering as much attention to guests’ comfort as the high standard hotels.

If you are staying in the city center and you do not mind walking a little bit, most tourist places are accessible by foot. For some attractions located a little further, you can easily catch a metro, tram or bus

Especially for the Seafood participants, the 2011 city shuttle will run from the Brussels Exhibition Centre to the city during the first two days of the exhibition. Shuttle stops will include: Place Rogier, Gare Centrale, Place Stephanie, Boulevard Charlemagne.
