Hotel Solutions for Medica 2010 Visitors

Tags: , , , ,

Have you already booked your accommodation for the days of Medica? Here are some suggestions for suitable options in terms of price and location.

Accommodation within the city is always more expensive than outside it, expecially during trade fairs and special events, but available hotels can be still found at a reasonable price.

Koenigsallee

Königsallee

If you are a first time visitor, you should definitely chose a hotel in the historic Old Town, in the heart of Düsseldorf. Most of the luxury hotels are located on the famous Königsallee – the number one shopping street in the city.

If you are on a budget and the central location is not so important to you (Dussledorf transport network is perfectly organized) – there is a wide variety of comfortable bed and breakfast solutions for those on budget.

In any case, you should start arranging your hotel accommodation, as the hotels are getting full and it’s already hard to find a hotel at a rate under EUR 200.00 per night.

A total of 71% of the visitors were from outside of Germany with a particularly high number coming from the Asian markets and the Arab region, plus 353 companies from the U.S.  Over 16,000 of the 138,000 visitors at MEDICA were interested in the exhibits showcased at COMPAMED (high tech solutions for medical technology).

What is happening on the market for medical products? Stay in touch with the latest news checking the product categories showcased at Medica:

It is proved that all innovations are presented at MEDICA year after year, which makes this event a huge success. Market leaders and innovative newcomers will again use the opportunity to present their products and services to a well informed audience.

Medica 2010 – Early Bookings Recommended

The deadline to register for individual exhibit space at MEDICA 2010 was March 1, 2010.  Any applications for individual exhibit space received after this date will be considered after the initial exhibit space assignments are completed in August. This is however not the case with booking your hotel accommodation. There is no deadline for reserving a room but the earlier you book, the closer you will stay to the fairgrounds. If you plan your visit to Dusseldorf now,  you will have a variety of options, and you can choose a hotel, which really matches your preferences.

4 months before Medica you can still find some available rooms near the fairgrounds at a rate under 300 EUR. If this is over your budget, than the surrounding area is your alternative – Dusseldorf is a major hub in the German railway network. More than 1000 trains stop at Dusseldorf’s central Railway station. Several S-Bahn lines connect Düsseldorf to the other cities of Rhine-Ruhr region, so wherever you stay, the fairgrounds can be easily reached within 20-40 min and you can take advantage of the services of a 4 star hotel for EUR 200.00, while the rates for the 2 and 3 star hotels start from EUR 150.00.

Luxury hotels in the city centre will reach 600-800 EUR per night during this major event and the small pensions or boarding houses also increase their prices accordingly – this was the case last year according to the stats provided by visitors.
